Style Techno On May the 25th, 1995, George Hatiras of Liquid Adrenaline gave Steve Venom his first rave gig at Liquid Adrenalines premier event. The previous DJ played an uninspired set that left the crowd lifeless. When Steve dropped his first track there was an immediate response - the room that was practically dead came alive to the old skool techno and Chicago house buzz that Venom dished out. It was that legendary event that earned Steve Venom his residency with the now famous Liquid Adrenaline events. Steve Venoms abilities quickly caught the attention of other promoters. It wasnt too long until he earned his second residency. This time it was for Montreals largest annual summer party the Millenium Festival. His residency with them was established in 1996 and continues to this day. Following that, Steve Venom has played in numerous cities across North America including appearances in New York, Ottawa, Kitchener and Montreal to name a few. He has also rocked the crowd for nearly every major Toronto promoter including Destiny, Mayday, Liquid Groove, Goodvibes, Phryl, Industry and others. Steves club schedule is also quite busy as he enjoys several residencies in Toronto including one of the hottest Wednesday nights in Toronto called "For Those Who Know" at Tonic, "Bang Saturdays" at System Soundbar and Element on Sundays. Steve Venoms ongoing enthusiasm on the decks is one of the reasons for the success of these nights. Besides his hectic touring and residency schedule Steve Venom has also
started a new venture called "Funky Boodah". Funky Boodah is
currently one of Torontos hottest urban culture outlets specializing
in clothing, gear, music, tickets and party info. Since its establishment
in January of 2000 the store has had to relocate into a larger venue in
Pacific Mall in order to satisfy the demand. According to Venom, one of
the reasons for this venture was so that he could give something back
to the community that started him. The outlet features many of the street
based local clothing lines including Snug, Lyta Crew and appropriately
Funky Boodah clothing. Keep on the lookout for the ever-changing
styles of Funky Boodah and the pounding, yet funky, techno sounds of Steve
Venom in your town!
